How to Shop Safely Online in India (and How We Protect You)

There are a lot of fake shops on Instagram and Facebook. Here are quick checks you can do on any online store, and how we handle each one.
1. Check for real contact details
A real store shows a business name, address, phone or WhatsApp number and email. Ours are on the Contact page and in the footer of every page.
2. Pay through a proper payment gateway
Payments should go through a known gateway like Razorpay, not to a random personal UPI ID with a screenshot. Online payments on OnlineGhar go through Razorpay, and we never see your card or UPI PIN.
3. Read the return and replacement policy
Know what happens if something arrives damaged. Our policy: WhatsApp us within 48 hours of delivery with an unboxing video and we'll replace it.
4. Be careful with 'too good to be true' prices
Huge discounts on branded electronics are a red flag. Legitimate stores in India can't sell above the MRP, and their prices should look realistic.
5. Track your order
You should get an order ID and a tracking link. Every OnlineGhar order gets an ID starting with OG and can be tracked on our Track order page.
